1. The essay writing contest is open to 1st season hockey players under the age of 18

2. Must have a learn to play hockey completion notice

3. Contestants shall write about " Why I love the game of ice hockey"

4. The essay should be a non-plagiarized and non-AI generated 300 to 600 words long piece of authentic work

5. All entries should be submitted via email to seek@seek1stfoundation.org (any format)

6. Entries should be submitted by June 25, 2025.

7. Only one (1) winner will be selected

8. Participants who have Facebook, Instagram or YouTube accounts are requested to like/follow/subscribe

9. The winning contestant will be announced via Facebook & Instagram, as well as in e-mail.

10. The winner will receive 2 free August 9, 2025 @6PM annual Ice Gala tickets and will be awarded the $1000 check in-person at the event, located at The Springhill Marriot Gainesville VA
